New Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness IMAX Poster to Shattered Realities: It has been announced that Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters in IMAX starting on May 6. To celebrate the film’s upcoming release, a brand new poster has been released to mark the occasion.
There is a difference between this poster and the original poster in that this poster is far more minimalistic. It should be noted, however, that both signs feature the mysterious shattered glass aesthetic.
There is no further explanation of what it may imply or what will be in store. With the IMAX version of the movie, viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy a special formatted screening, which shows 26% more of the onscreen image in 1.90:1.
In addition, the glass is also set against a solid blood-red background instead of featuring various characters within the shards, which is another significant difference between the two movies.
With the help of Panavision DXL2 IMAX-certified cameras, John Mathieson shot the film for IMAX using Panavision DXL2 IMAX cameras. It is no secret that Marvel movies have always been an exciting addition to the moviegoing experience, with many productions taking advantage of them more and more.
As mentioned above, the first Doctor Strange film consisted of over an hour of footage formatted explicitly for IMAX viewing to maximize the viewing experience. Besides Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, there were other Marvel movies, such as the earlier Avengers: Infinity War, which was the first Hollywood movie to be filmed solely with IMAX digital cameras.
A sequel to the 2016 Marvel superhero movie Doctor Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is slated to be released in 2019. It will take place only a few months after the Spider-Man: No Way Home events.
